Program Update

Pilot Program Limited to the Inspector General and their Deputy

Will be held on November 2-4, 2009. This will be a three-day experience to introduce the program. Cost will be $1,000 with an additional chage of $690 for the all-inclusive rooms and meals package.

Two Week Program for all members of the Senior Executive Service

Now offered as a two-week program on the following dates:

Dec. 14-18 returning Feb. 8-12, 2010 OR
April 5-9 returning June 14-18

Cost for both parts of the program is $2,500 with an additional charge of $995 per week for the all-inclusive rooms and meals package.

Program Description

This explosively powerful multimedia experience will forever enhance your insight into leadership, followership and organizational effectiveness. History becomes a metaphor and the battlefields of the Gettysburg National Military Park a classroom as leadership - in a rapidly changing, stressful environment, with limited information and limited resources - is examined. These challenges were present in 1863 are present in your organization today.

Sessions focus on the use of the actionable concepts of transactional, transformational, and anticipatory leadership - qualities demonstrated by Col. Joshua Chamberlain and his valiant and successful effort to have his troops hold the left flank of the Union Army.

Absolutely wonderful integration of Civil War events and practical ideas of improving leadership skills.

Excellent training. Each day exceeded my expectations. Picked up a number of tools to help me and hopefully the organization.

Completely different from any leadership training that I have had before.

Fantastic experience! The battlefield connection was, to my surprise, an incredible and effective way of making the points being taught. This is a program that actually works.

One of the more interesting styles of leadership training I have had the pleasure of participating in. The use of the Civil War metaphor was extremely informative. Really will help to focus on many of the challenges I have to deal with on a daily basis. All of the speakers were excellent.

Everyone in the IG community should be exposed to his presentation!!
