Presenters Wanted!  The CIGIE LDS is looking for leaders from all levels to share their leadership stories, vision, and new ideas with the IG Community with a Leadership Talk.  These talks are intended to be short duration, high impact presentations, just like TED Talks™, and should relate to OPM’s Executive Core Qualifications of Leading Change, Leading People, Results Driven, Business Acumen, and Building Coalitions. Questions to start your thinking include:

  • How have you shifted the way you or your organization identifies and performs its work?
  • How do you mobilize and inspire others to advance the work of your team, your office or the IG Community?
  • What kind of technical expertise or skill sets will be required in the coming decades; what are you doing to help yourself and the organization get there?
  • How do you build coalitions to create meaningful partnerships and conduct cross-cutting work?

Terms of Agreement: An independent CIGIE PDC-LDS panel will review submissions and select top proposals. The LDS will host a required coaching session on delivering TED​*-style talks for the presenters. A full script of your presentation must be completed and submitted to the LDS three weeks before the event (by September 30, 2019). Your participation and the full script must also be approved by your OIG, as applicable, in accordance with your organization’s policies. Presentations will be videotaped, and by agreeing to be a presenter you authorize CIGIE to use the video of your presentation for other CIGIE training needs, including making the video available on the CIGIE Training Institute website. *TED TALKS is a trademark of Ted Conferences, LLC.
