The Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) is pleased to announce Tammy Whitcomb Hull, Inspector General (IG), U.S. Postal Service (USPS), as its Vice Chairperson. Ms. Whitcomb Hull will be replacing the Honorable Mark Lee Greenblatt, who has held this position since 2021. Mr. Greenblatt was recently elected as CIGIE Chairperson and following his election, he appointed Ms. Whitcomb Hull as Vice Chairperson.

An active member of the CIGIE community, Ms. Whitcomb Hull is the current Committee Chair of the CIGIE Technology Committee, a position she has held since her election in 2017.

Ms. Whitcomb Hull began her government career at the Internal Revenue Service Inspection Service and transitioned with them as a part of the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA), established in early 1999. During her career at TIGTA, she was an audit manager in Dallas, TX for several years before coming to Washington D.C. as the Director of the Office of Management and Policy.
She joined the USPS OIG as an audit director in 2005, then served as Assistant Inspector General from November 2011 through February 2016 at which time she was appointed as Acting IG for the agency. On November 29, 2018, Ms. Whitcomb Hull was appointed the IG of USPS by the Governors of the U.S. Postal Service.

Ms. Whitcomb Hull holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Business Administration degree from W. J. Bryan College in Dayton, TN, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
