Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the workshop, participants will understand how the 2018 Government Auditing Standards differ from those issued in 2011 and how such updates impact their audit work starting on July 1, 2019.
Program Description
The workshop provides an overview of Government Auditing Standards, 2018 Revision (Yellow Book) and highlights the key updates from the 2011 Version. Knowledge of the revised standards is crucial to all OIG audit staff in conducting their oversight work. The Government Accountability Office (GAO) issues the standards and experienced GAO staff will deliver the content with time allotted for discussion and questions.
Recommended Attendees
This overview- level workshop is designed for all CIGIE member OIG staff (regardless of grade level) who conduct work in accordance with Government Auditing Standards.
