The 2022 CIGIE Leadership Forum

The CIGIE Professional Development Committee, in association with the CIGIE Leadership Academy and our Leadership Programs at American University, is pleased to announce the:

9th Annual CIGIE Leadership Forum
Gearing Up: Leading Change to Make Our Work and Workplace More Effective, Innovative, and Impactful
Wednesday, November 16, 2022, 10:00am – 4:00pm EST via YouTube

Registration is free but is limited to the statutory OIGs that are members of CIGIE and designated guests from the oversight community.

Join us for the 9th annual CIGIE Leadership Forum. This Forum is about the “how,” not just the “why.” This year's theme is Gearing Up: Leading Change to Make Our Work and Workplace More Effective, Innovative, and Impactful. We have been through a lot over the last two-plus years and now, we are at an inflection point, enhancing and sustaining significant change in how we approach our work, workplace, and workforce.  How do we use the knowledge and experience we gained to gear up and break through to the next level?

You will hear and see knowledge, passion, and ideas that could help the IG Community as a whole or individual OIGs create breakthroughs that could make our work, workplaces, and workforce more effective, innovative, and impactful.  How did you create noteworthy impact or outcomes through the who, what, when, and how?

  • Agile or other non-traditional oversight approaches
  • Fraud prevention and detection
  • Hotline data management and trend analysis
  • Data analytics and data literacy
  • Strategic oversight planning
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Leveraging media and social media
  • Partnering with other oversight entities
  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility
  • Enterprise risk management
  • Future of work strategic foresight
  • Leveraging media and social media

Once again, the Forum will be fully virtual. The format will include Leadership Talks, modeled after TED Talks™, as well as some live virtual content. Leadership Talks will be recorded in advance of the event and played for the first time during the Forum. The Forum will also include plenty of opportunities for discussion in the chat room with attendees and speakers!

Additional information and videos from past Leadership Forums are available on the CIGIE Professional Development Committee website (Leadership Forums). An estimated 5.0 CPEs will be awarded to those attending the entire Forum.

Look for updates throughout the year, and registration information in October. We look forward to “seeing you” in November!
